Julia is a beautiful woman with high cheekbones and long hair she sweeps back and over and it changes color and shape, well, constantly. I started painting her today and I am fighting the "good painting" with "good likeness" problem. I want there to be no conflict between the two -- but that's going to take a lot of work.I think I'm going to paint a nice loud geranium and clear my mind of worrying about faces for a bit.
